A domain registration is the name of your website, which must be purchased before it can be displayed on the internet. In order to register, you can choose from a choice of distinct names and Top Level Domains (TLDs). This article contains general information on GreggHost domain registrations.

In general, there are two main processes to getting your website online:

The first half of a two-step process for getting a site on the Internet is domain registration (or TLD – Top Level Domain). Purchasing a domain registration gives the registrant (the domain name’s owner) contact information and assigns the nameservers that govern the domain’s DNS settings.

The popular TLDs.COM/.NET/.ORG/ and.INFO (along with others) enable privacy for the contact information you enter when registering. Transfers
Any change to the registrant’s name, organization, or email address, as defined by ICANN’s Transfer Policy, will lock the domain for 60 days and send notification emails to the old and new registrants informing them of the change.

Changing the spelling of a new registration
On the Internet, each domain acquired is one of a kind. Even if the spelling of a domain differs by one letter, it is still regarded an entirely different domain name.
This means that if you misspelled a domain name when you bought it, you won’t be able to change it. The only way to avoid this is to buy a new domain with a different spelling.
Getting a refund for a misspelled domain
TLDs such as.com,.net,.io, and.life are used to finish domain registrations. There are varying restrictions for when and if you can cancel a registration after it has been purchased for each of them. If you need to cancel a new registration, contact assistance right once.
