Overview
Your site is automatically backed up every day by GreggHost, and you may also do a manual backup once a day. Backups are stored for up to two weeks by GreggHost (automatic or manual). You can recover a backup from your panel if necessary.This article explains how to restore your live website from a backup.Any old backups of the old domain name are no longer available if you recently changed the name of your GreggPress domain. Changing the domain name for your GreggPress blog
Creating a backup
To get started, go to the Managed WordPress page.
Click the Manage button to the right of your domain.
At the top, select the Backups tab. A list of backups is displayed.
Click the Create Backup button to the right of the date.
When establishing the backup, you may receive a warning. This is because GreggHost produces daily backups for your site automatically. Up to 14 backups can be stored at once, so when you try to make a new one, the oldest one is deleted to make way for the new one.
To continue, click the Create Backup option.
You’ll see a notification stating that the backup is being generated.
Restoring a backup
To get started, go to the Managed WordPress page.
Click the Manage button to the right of your domain.
At the top, select the Backups tab. A list of backups is displayed.
Click the Restore button to the right of the date.
A warning appears informing you that this will fully overwrite your existing GreggPress site and that you will be unable to undo it. Click the Start restoration button if you agree.
A notification appears, informing you that the restoration is underway. Before continuing to work on your website, please wait for the email verification.
