Update your site’s configuration file

You must also edit the config file for your website application when changing the database user password. Your website will not load if you do not do so. Each site has its own configuration file. The following are some common examples:

By accessing onto the server via FTP or SSH, you can make changes to your site’s configuration file.

Changing your database password

Go to the MySQL Databases section of the website.
Username for the database
Click your username to the right of your database.
Change the password for the database username
You can change your password and save it at the bottom of the user’s edit page.
