This post will show you how to create a new GreggHost account. This page is intended for new customers who want to create an account with their own personal information, payment information, and new hosting plan.

This article explains how to create a hosting account. This implies you’ll have to pay for a server on which your website will be hosted. If you merely want to buy a website name (domain name) and aren’t ready to host the site on the Internet, instead read the following article:

Step 1 — Choose a hosting plan
You may host your website on GreggHost’s many hosting options. A list of plans can be found at the following link:

After you’ve chosen a plan, click the Sign Up Now button to begin the account creation process.

Step 2 — Create a new account
After you’ve decided on a plan, you’ll need to create an account. The processes are essentially the same for all hosting plans, however for clarity, we’ve included an example of Shared Starter hosting below.

Adding a Shared Hosting account to your website
When you’ve picked which plan you want to buy, click the button next to it to get started. You’ll be brought to the Choose Your Hosting Plan page after clicking the button.

To skip the domain part, enter a domain to buy, transfer an existing domain, or select ‘Choose a domain later.’

Choose your payment plan and preferred add-ons on the right.

You have the option of paying with a credit/debit card or PayPal. If you choose PayPal as your payment method, you will be directed to PayPal’s website to complete the transaction.

Please enter your email address. This is the primary email address you’ll use to access your GreggHost control panel. You can also use Google’s ‘Single Join On’ approach to sign up. This allows you to log in with your Google email address instead of a password.
Some browsers have default pop-up blocking settings that prevent pop-ups from appearing. If this is the case, you must manually allow pop-ups to appear in your browser. The following links will show you how to achieve this in a variety of browsers.

Select the following options from the list at the bottom:
Pre-Install WordPress: Select this option to have WordPress installed on your new domain automatically.
GreggShield Protection is a premium add-on that scans your site weekly for harmful spyware.
The GreggHost SEO Toolkit is a premium add-on that aids in the optimization of your website for better search engine rankings. It also keeps track of your site over time to guarantee that its SEO score remains strong.
GreggHost Email: This option is only available for Shared Starter plans. It allows you to upgrade your website hosting service to include a premium email plan. (NOTE: All other plans include free email.)
Google Workspace: Connects your domain to Google Workspace. You can then manage your website and email using Google’s capabilities.

When you’re finished, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the Submit Order button.
